So, after I've finished work on my platformer game, my next project was a arcade racing game called Gran Trak, one of the first racing games to ever be made. It wasn't too hard to develop the base mechanics of it, however, I think I'd like to do a bit more with it before moving on with the remainder of my lessons. For one thing, I'd like to have more than one track to play. I've already made one track with a simple design, but I want to try and make two more tracks that require intermediate and expert level skills to to maneuver. I'm also thinking of various modes you can play this game in. You could race against other racers and try to get first place as well as race against the clock to see how many laps you can complete. Of course I will also have to group all these features together with a menu and UI. I feel like my work on the platformer game has really started to push me to go above and beyond with my projects. I'm working right now on putting a bulk of those expansions to fruition and I hope that it'll make the final product all the more enjoyable. To end off, here's footage of me playtesting the Beginner Trak. Enjoy!
