I've decided to take a bit of a break from posting about my progress in the drawing books. While I'm still focusing on finishing the exercises before the summer's over, I feel like a little change of pace in terms of things showcased wouldn't hurt. That said, I'd like to share with you some screenshots of some basic sprite work I've done based on the icon of the Arcade sphere, PAC-MAN:

The first is the basic player sprite with 8 color variations. From left to right there's yellow, pink, blue, red, green, orange, light-blue and purple.

The next screenshot showcases the ghost characters. I thought I'd go the extra mile and include not just the main 4 ghosts, but also the more obscure ghosts that could be seen in subsequent games. From left to right there's Blinky, Inky, Clyde, Pinky, Sue, Funky, and Spunky.

Both the PAC-MAN and Ghosts sprites have full dedicated sprite sets, but they can't be showed off quite yet. The last thing I'll share is this tile set I've put together for maze construction.

Now, you may be wondering what these assets are for. Well, I've been drafting plans for fan projects relating to PAC-MAN and classic Namco for some time now in the background of all the other stuff I've been working on. I can't tell you what they are publicly yet still, but know that I've been consistently putting a lot of thought and care into how they can be done and the ideas that come from my research as well as my own imagination are getting better as I go along. If people are interested, I'll consider sharing more at a later date.
